The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Celebrity Special Marshals Unit and Road Safety Officers Wives Association (ROSOWA), have donated relief items to crash victims at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi on Tuesday.
The Reporters reports that the, donation, made by the Coordinator of the Celebrity Special Marshals, Mr Christ Nwandu was to mark Road Traffic Crash Day.
Nwandu said the gesture was part of the association’s Corporate Social Responsibility toward assisting FRSC in the country.
Mr Olusegun Ogungbemide, Lagos State Sector Commander of the FRSC, expressed appreciation to the marshals for their kind gesture.
He recalled the achievements of the unit since it was inaugurated over eight years ago and called for more support.
Ogungbemide said that the FRSC special marshals unit was established to engage Nigerian celebrities to preach and propagate the message of safety on the roads.
The Chairman of ROSOWA, Lagos State Command, Mrs Victory Ogungbemide, said the association engaged in humanitarian programmes to support their husbands.
She said ROSOWA had also reached out to other organisations, hospitals and crash victims in the recent past.
The celebrities at the visit include Segun Arinze , Alibaba , Yemi Shodimu, and Sunny Mcdow.
