Medical doctor loses 4 children to flood in Niger

A Suleja-based medical doctor on Saturday, lost four chilfren to flood that swept many houses and infrastructure in Suleja and its environs due to heavy rain.
The female doctor, attached to the General hospital, popularly
Known as “Dr Peace”, was said to be on call duty when the tragedy struck in her house.

Sources said though her husband was around when the flood surged the house, there was nothing he could do, due to the intensity of its movement.

Duaglobalnews gathered that the flood also swept away seven other persons while it lasted.

The online publication further gathered that while six bodies have been discovered,those of five other victims were being searched for as at the time of this report.

Mostly affected by the natural disaster, besides Suleja, are Rafin-Sayin and Madalla.

Our correspondent reports that the flood collapsed many houses,submerged bridges and pulled down electric poles.
