I was in the middle of conversation with someone and I referred to myself as blind.
“Don’t call yourself blind. My friend you are not blind!” She emphasized. Instantly I knew what she meant.
She saying, I should not call myself blind does not erase the fact that I am a sightless person, but I needed no one to show me I was talking to a lady. I did not need to see her mouth to understand what she was saying. I could tell that she was sitting next to me. What difference then could sight have made in the course of our conversation?
Things should only matter when they matter.
If we give a careful thought about what we say concerning ourselves, we will minimize many misrepresentations we make of us.
There could be someone around you that is lacking in self esteem, an encouraging word from you will be a morale booster. That one kind word is what you can say to make someone’s day; and It is not out of your reach. If you cannot give material gift you can give a smile. It costs nothing but enriches allot. Be a source of someone’s joy today.
Hei! wish you a tremendously great day.
