The first female combat helicopter pilot to be produced by the Nigerian Airfore, late Tolulope Arotile who was killed last week in Abuja, began her last journey to great beyond on Thursday with the arrival of her remains for burial at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja for the solemn occasion.
Duaglobalnews correspondent reports that the body of the 23 years old pilot from Kogi state arrived the cemetery at 8.48 a.m to the waiting hand of her long face-looking senior colleagues and other sympathisers for full military honours.
The long stretch of the Airport road, where the Cemetery is located, is seen with heavy deployment of armed Military men, that include the Guards Brigade. coupled with the tight security at the venue.
Tolulope died, following head injuries she sustained in Kaduna when the driver, her class mate at the Airforce secondary school, Kaduna and other class mates, reversed the car and killed her at the Airforce base in Kaduna.
Tolu, also a Bsc mathematics holder from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna was Commissioned as a military officer, less than a year ago.
