Kogi promises secured environment for investors

Kogi State Government has promised to provide conducive environment for investors in the mining sector in order to enhance exploration and improves the revenue base of the state.

The Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Mr Abubakar Bashiru Muhammed, made the promose in Ankpa while on a visit to Dangote Coal Mining Site at Awo Akpali.

Abubakar, who was accompanied by some management staff of the ministry, assured investors in the state of the state government’s commitment toward ensuring that they have value for their investments.

According to him, the New Direction Administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello will ensure that every economic opportunity available in the state is explored to add value, create employment opportunities for the people and increase the revenue base of the state.

He reiterated that security of lives and property of people remained the priority to the government New Direction Agenda.

In his address of welcome, the Project Coordinator of Dangote Coal Mining, Alhaji Usman Jibrin, thanked the Commissioner for the visit assuring that his organization was mindful of its social responsibility and the commitment to the government and the people of the state.
