The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority,(NEPZA) has expressed profound appreciation to the various goodwill messages by various organisations, following the appointment of Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, its new Managing director.

Head, Corporate Communication, NEPZA on Friday in Abuja said such messages came from Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Embassies, Private Organizations, Associations and Individuals.
Others he said, are the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment; Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime, former MD, NEPZA; Nigeria Bar Association, NBA Abuja Branch; National Association of Retired Para-Military Officers (NARPO); amongst numerous others.
Odeh said: ” NEPA viewed “these unquantifiable accolades and encomiums on Prof. Adesugba as a gauge of his sagacity, ubiquitous experience and technical capability in harnessing the potential and opportunities of the free zone initiative of the Federal Government.
“The management understands the enormity of the task ahead and the entire staff is committed to making the tenure of Prof. Adesugba a rewarding experience.
“The management of the Authority, therefore, views the appointment of the new Managing Director as a rare privilege as he sets to navigate the global economic environment to promote sustainable industrialization of the country.
“The Lagos-born Professor of Business Administration is a perpetual learner with an insatiable quest for knowledge, possesses broad professional competencies in Law, Business, Commerce, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Journalism, among others.
“The NEPZA new Chief Executive has garnered vast cognate experience in public sector, covering Customs and Excise, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Privatization and Commercialization and Head of the Industrial Arbitration Panel.
“Prof. Adesugba’s expertise in business and commerce also remains incontrovertible with his being one of the drivers of the transformation of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industries until this appointment as NEPZA boss.
“We want to assure the business community and well-wishers that Prof. Adesugba will leverage on the Nigerian Industrial Revolution Plan, NIRP and the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, ERGP of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“This is necessary to achieve the Authority’s mandate of generating Foreign Direct Investment, FDI and industrializing the country in the face of COVID-19 pandemic.”
