Members of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), Kwara state chapter, have donated food items and toiletries to inmates of Ilorin Custodial Centre in Kwara state.

Items donated for the use of the inmates include, toothbrush, toothpastes, detergents, bath soaps, packs of spaghetti, bags of rice, body cream among others.

Speaking during the presentation, the State Coordinator of MMPN, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Yusuf, said the gesture was part of annual Ramadan activities of the organization.

He said that the programme was also to make the inmates feel a sense of belonging, so that they would come out as better citizens.

Yusuf thanked members of the organization for contributing in cash and kind to ensure the success of the programme.

While calling on philanthropists to support the custodial centres with such relief materials, the coordinator assured that MMPN would continue to contribute to the welfare of the needy and the less privileged in the society.
