COVID-19:Foundations, NGOs shower pilliatives on rural communities in Kogi

The fact that kogi state has not recorded any case of Coronavirus notwithstanding, various foundations and other NGOs have continued to extend hands of fellowship, especially to the rural communities in the with one pilliative gesture or the other.
The essence is to cushion the effect of lockdown, occasioned by the pandemic disease ravaging most parts of the country.
The latest being that of Olufemi Iselaye Foundation which donated food items to over 1,500 households in Yagba Federal constituency of the state, mostly vulnerable people of Yagba land consisting of widows and the less privileged ones.
The founder of the Foundation, Hon. Daniel Oluwafemi Iselaye, said the foundation was committed to the wellbeing of the people of Yagba Federal constituency and ensure that good governance is brought to their doorsteps.
Iselaye, who was represented at the occasion by Oloruko-oba Adebayo Jnr, noted that the management of the Foundatio were also committed to helping vulnerable citizens during this period of economic crunch caused by the Corona Virus.
According to the founder, the gesture is to help them fight the pandemic and hunger.
He therefore advised the beneficiaries to remain faithful by putting their trust in the unfailing God for sustenance and permanent survival.
“Pray for open doors and favours for the founder and his foundation so that they can go beyond this phase of donation and extend this gesture to more people and other categories of vulnerable citizens crying for help,”, the philantropist said.
He explained that the Foundation had a” raw passion” for service to humanity, irrespective of differences in religion, gender, or Socal status.
“We are committed to bringing comfort and empower vulnerable Yagba citizens without any form of discrimination”.
He promised that that the Foundation would continue to back to the society, especially during emergencies as well as during health and humanitarian crises” such as we now find ourselves in the COVID-19 ravaging the world.”
