Uplift your community, ex-commissioner urges Edo political, economic leaders

Former Commissioner for Wealth Creation Cooperatives and Employment in Edo state, Barr. Emmanuel Usoh, has called on political and economic leaders in the state to give back to the society by investing in their native communities.

Usoh,a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress,( APC) in the state, also advocated the empowerment of youths, through education and skills acquisition.

The legal practitioner gave the advice while speaking with journalists on his 50th birthday party at the Marques Hall, Edo Hotels, Benin City.

On his impact to his community, the former commissioner said:” By the grace of God, I’ve done so much for Uzea community.

” Hitherto, it was difficult for people to build houses in the village. I built in Uzes,my village,a befitting house, better than the one I built in Benin City.

“I’ve been able to sink bore holes for them in the village to fetch water, empower some youths and employ some people into Edo state civil service.

“I have influenced some projects from Edo state government for the community.

“Individually, I’ve also been able to to encourage some students to go back to school so that they will be able to make it in life.”

Also speaking,the Chairman of the occasion,Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, the Deputy Governor of Delta state, described Usoh as an intelligent and vibrant lawyer.

Otuaro, who was a class mate of Usoh in the 1999 law set of the Amrose Alli University, Ekpoma added that the celebrator was one of the movers and shakers of his class.
